LED Indicators

Lumex is announcing a new addition to its line of rear of panel mountable LED indicators: the SSI-RM3091 series. These smaller devices are designed for mounting holes 0.200 inches (5.08 mm) in diameter, on panels up to 0.06 inches (1.50 mm) in thickness. Like all of Lumex's rear of panel LED indicators, these new compact indicators are installed simply by pushing them from the rear side of the panel. No additional fastening clips or nuts are needed. These indicators can be used in a wide range of applications including front panel status indicators, alarm and warning indicators, panel circuit fault indicators, instrument control panels, medical diagnostics indicators, and industrial automation control panels.

Lumex's new rear of panel mountable LED indicators feature round T-3mm LEDs with special holder constructed of a black Silicon 80 compound. The holder also includes a built-in 0.189 inch (4.8mm) diameter bezel which provides an attractive appearance on the front side of the mounting panel — without the need for any additional trim pieces or hardware. Standard 26AWG leads are insulated, and 6 inches long (150mm).

LED lamp color choices include red, orange, yellow, green, blue, and white. The LEDs use state of the art AlInGaP or InGaN/SiC die formulations which provide high brightness across forward current range of 2-25mA. Typical brightness for the red, yellow, and orange versions is 100mcd with a forward current of 20mA. Standard forward operating voltages range from 1.8 to 3.5VDC depending on chip technology used.

Numerous options are available, including encapsulated resistors for operation at 5VDC or 12VDC, bi-color units, blinking units, different lead lengths, uninsulated leads, lead with connectors pre-installed, and a virtually unlimited choice of LED lamp finishes and colors.
