Aethercomm Part Number SSPA 1.20-1.40-100 is a high power, pulsed solid state amplifier used for military telemetry, data transmission and radar. This SSPA supports pulse widths up to 100 mSec with duty cycles from 0.1% to CW operation. Minimum output power is 100 watts at 85°C base plate. The unit will operate from -50°C to 95°C base plate. Gain at saturated output power is > 40 dB across the band. Small signal gain is 48 dB minimum with a gain flatness of ± 1.0 dB. Pulse droop across a 100 uSec pulse is 0.25 dB. Rise and fall times are less than 1000 nSec. Input VSWR is 1.5:1 max. Harmonic levels are >35 dBc at maximum saturated output power. Peak current is 14 Amps max.

This PA operates from a 28 V DC supply with a quiescent current of 2.8 amps. All the active devices contain a fully temperature compensated active bias circuit which keeps the quiescent current within 5% of its nominal value from -50°C to 95°C. Standard package size is 3× 7× 1. Six mounting holes are located on the bottom of the housing. Input/output RF connectors are SMA female standard.
