MICRO-COAX announced that its UTiFORM, UTiFLEX, and semi-rigid cable series feature minimal insertion loss and VSWR at frequencies as high as 65 GHz. The high performance of the cables at higher frequencies makes them good choices for design into equipment and systems operating at broadband data rates such as 10 GB/s and 40 GB/s.

All three cable families have phase matching to 0.5° per GHz, as well as microporous PTFE dielectric options. The three cable families can also be designed with virtually any connector, including SMA, SMP, SSMP, 2.92 mm (K), 2.4 mm, and 1.85 MM (V).

UTiFORM cables come in diameters ranging from 0.047 to 0.141 with and without FEP jackets. Typical VSWR is 1.55:1 at 30 GHz and insertion loss is 2.50 dB/ft at 30 GHz. Maximum frequency of the UTiFLEX family is 70 GHz, with typical VSWR of 1.45:1 and typical insertion loss of 1.91 dB/feet at 70 GHz. The semi-rigid cables also have maximum frequency of 70 GHz, with typical VSWR of 1.55:1 and typical insertion loss of 3.50 dB/feet.
