A/D Converter

Tue, 07/31/2001 - 4:30am
Signal Processing Technologies, Inc. (SPT) announces the SPT7720, an 8-bit 200 MSPS analog-to-digital converter (ADC) that delivers superior AC and DC performance.

With its low power dissipation (430 mW), high bandwidth (500 MHz), and low price, the SPT7720 offers a very attractive alternative to the nearest competitor.

Digital instrumentation such as digital sampling oscilloscopes can take advantage of the SPT7720's high sample rate of 200 MSPS and superior linearity (ILE/DLE at ± 0.5 LSB typ) to accurately represent complex analog signals.

The SPT7720's low power dissipation of 430 mW and its low price (both 30% less than the nearest competitor) make this device particularly well-suited for cost- and power-sensitive communications applications such as wireless local loops and wireless networks.

The high sampling rate (200 MSPS) and full-power analog bandwidth of 500 MHz make the SPT7720 a perfect solution for capturing analog RGB signals and digitizing them for flat-panel monitors and projectors.

The SPT7720 is fully functional and pin-compatible with Analog Devices' AD9054A.
