Digital Delay Line

M/A COM introduces the first of a new series of digitally switched delay lines. The MAMUSM0008 eliminates the need for manual tuning in feedforward amplifier correction loops. This line is digitally controlled and allows for delay adjustments from 0-750 pS in 50 pS steps. This function is accomplished in a 15 mm BGA leadless surface mount package.

This digitally controlled delay is particularly useful to tune power amplifiers, which dramatically reduces costs associated with manual tuning. The MAMUSM0008 is a single positive supply device that is controlled by 4 complementary TTL bits. It is a Multi-chip module containing GaAs MMIC semiconductor technology. This multi-chip BGA approach enables precise delay adjustments, reduces system parts and count and eliminates manual tuning. The result is an overall lower system cost for feedforward amplifier correction loops.

The MAMUSM0008 operates from 1.9 to 2.2 GHz, making it ideal for emerging 3G wireless communications standards.
