Antennas Designed to Meet Broadband Market Needs

Thu, 06/28/2001 - 7:33am
Decibel Products' new Datenna family of antennas recently expanded with the release of three new antennas, the DB973HG12ERR, the DB948G85E-DR, and the DB973G90-SR. These new products are designed for broadband wireless data and voice applications and created to address two separate needs within the new frequency bands — uninterrupted transmission and high volume data transmission.

The DB973HG12ERR is a 12° horizontally polarized antenna operating in the MDS band. It is designed to deliver an array that provides horizontal side lobe suppression better than 30 dB.

The DB948G85E-DR is a wide-band antenna solution. This new product offers a wide band performance optimized for the digital Multipoint Distribution Systems (MDS) and the digital Multichannel, Multipoint Distribution systems (MMDS). This antenna line provides superior front to back ratio, critical in future network systems operating QAM 64.

Addressing the need for a low cost solution, Decibel Products created the DB973G90-SR, which has a 90° horizontal beamwidth. This antenna delivers 10 dBi of gain in an antenna size less than eight inches tall and three inches deep. With the ability to cover the entire frequency range of 2.1 - 2.7 GHz, this new antenna is a low cost solution for customers needing large volume capabilities.
