7-16 RF Coaxial Connectors

Thu, 06/28/2001 - 7:33am

A full line of 7-16 RF coaxial connectors that are now available with a positive locking quick-disconnect coupling for hard-to-reach applications is being introduced by Tru-Connector Corporation.

Tru-Connector's QD16 Coaxial Connector is a 7-16 series of RF connector that features a male coupling with a positive locking, spring-loaded sleeve and integral balls which seat into a corresponding groove on the female to mate securely. Eliminating the need for threading nuts and tools, this design is for hard-to-reach applications where easy on/off shelf is desirable.

Creating a connection that can not vibrate loose once the sleeve has covered a thin red indicator line, Tru-Connector's QD16 Coaxial Connector is constructed with a silver plated brass body, beryllium-copper contacts, and Teflon® insulators. It provides 50 Ohm impedance, a dielectric withstanding voltage of 4,000 VRMS, and 10,000 Megohms (min.) insulation resistance.
