Rubidium Standard Clock Oscillators

Temex Components announces the availability of a new family of Rubidium atomic clocks, the HPFRS series. They are pin output and package compatible with industry standard models. Standard output frequencies are 5, 10, and 20 MHz, and any frequency between 1 MHz and 30 MHz is available upon request. The HPFRS series exhibits very low temperature sensitivity and excellent short-term stability of 3 × 10-12/100 sec. Long-term stability is less than 5 × 10-10/year. The HPFRS series operates on less than 8 watts of power at +25 °C. Applications include telecom synchronization systems, digital audio broadcast, TV transmission (analog & digital), military communications, navigation, instrumentation, tracking, and guidance control.

Developed and produced by Temex Neuchatel Time (Switzerland) The HPFRS series has an extended Rubidium lamp life of 20 years. The HPFRS-02 model has a wide input voltage range of 11.2 V to 15.5 V for the 12 V version and 18 V to 32 V for the 24 V version. It operates in a temperature range of -5 °C to +50 °C with an extended temperature range version of -20 °C to +60 °C available. Connection is made through a 10 pin sub-D with a female coaxial contact. There is an RS-232 port interface for center frequency adjustment and monitoring or working parameters.

The HPFRS-01 model's input voltage is 22 V to 28 V and is connected through a 10 pin sub-D with a female coaxial contact. It operates in a temperature range of -0 °C to +60 °C with an extended temperature range version of -20 °C to +65 °C available.
