Dual and Tri-Couplers Optimized for Cellular Applications

These high power dual and tri-directional couplers are ideal for systems applications such as AMPS, TDMA, CDMA, CDPD and GSM where precision site monitoring is necessary.

The 722-30-0.892 dual directional coupler is best suited for Tx applications (869 - 894 MHz & 925 - 960 MHz) and measures a compact 4.50 × 2.00 × 0.88 inches. This 30 dB model has typical insertion loss of 0.05 dB and VSWR of 1.05:1, directivity of 35 dB, port-to-port tracking of 0.2 dB and coupling flatness of 0.1 dB for exact measurement requirements. The coupler is rated for 500 watts average power (10 kW peak) with intermodulation distortion better than – 130 dBc.

The 723-20-0.875 is a 20 dB tri-coupler designed for Rx applications (824 - 849 MHz & 880 - 915 MHz) with an extra reverse port for injection signals. The efficient design measures 5.24 × 2.00 × 0.88 inches and exhibits typical insertion loss of 0.2 dB and VSWR of 1.05:1, directivity of 35 dB, port-to-port tracking of 0.2 dB (between all three ports), and isolation of 80 dB between reverse ports (R2-R1). This coupler is rated for 250 watts average power (10 kW peak), and a maximum of 34 dBm can be injected at R1 or R2.

Both couplers are furnished with brass type N mainline and stainless steel SMA coupled port connectors, gold plated beryllium copper contact pins, virgin electrical grade Teflon( insulation within the connectors and rugged aluminum housings. Operating temperature range for these couplers is from – 65 °C( to 150°C.
