Miraco, Inc., a leader in the innovation of high density, U.L. recognized connectors, introduces its ADAM Connector. Designed to bypass the space limitations of conventional stamped contacts, the ADAM Connector is the first in a family of connectors that offer greater reliability and flexibility at a reduced cost.

The ADAM Connector features Miraco's patented Dynamic Contact Cluster (DCC™) technology, which eliminates the need for stamped contacts by enabling the conductor of a circuit to interface directly with the mating pins of a header. Because the ADAM can connect flexible printed circuits (FPC) and flat flexible cables (FFC) directly to 0.18 square or round pin headers, the number of parts that could fail is reduced. This parts reduction eliminates a frequent cause of systems failure — crimped or displayed style contacts — and reduces the overall cost of development. The result is a highly reliable, high-density connector that provides greater contact flexibility in terminating FPC' or FFC's.

The ADAM Connector easily accommodates connector designs with pitches down to 0.5 mm or less, eliminating the need to "capture" the mating pin. This low pitch offers users twice the density of conventional pitch connectors.

The ADAM also features a dynamic spring assembled in a molded plastic housing that is designed to align the spring & circuit.
