1430 - 1930 MHz Low Noise VCO

Mon, 04/30/2001 - 6:15am
1430 - 1930 MHz Low Noise VCO ideal for satellite modems, featuring excellent phase noise, low cost and compact package, – 40 to 85 ° C operation. Z-Communications, Inc. announced an advancement in Voltage Controlled Oscillator technology with the introduction of the V674ME03. The V674ME03 is sure to find a home in any satellite system where low noise performance as well as broad bandwidth is required. This VCO generates frequencies covering 1430-1930 MHz within 2-9 Vdc of control voltage while delivering unmatched noise performance. The V674ME03 exhibits a clean spectral signal of -94 dBc/Hz, typically, at 10 kHz form the carrier while operating off a 10 Vdc supply and drawing 35 mA.

In addition to covering 600 MHz within 7 Vdc of control, the V674ME03 will further strengthen any satellite modem PLL with its 1.1:1 linearity over frequency and temperature. The V674ME03 offers the end user 5 ± 3 dBm of output power into a 50Ω load and is designed for the toughest outdoor applications as it is specified to operate over the extended commercial temperature range of -40 to 85 ° C. This robust device pushes less than 10 MHz/V within 5% form the nominal supply voltage and pulls less than 10 MHz with a 14 dB return loss, any phase.

The V674ME03 comes in Z-Communications' industry standard MINI surface mount package measuring 0.50 inches× 0.50 inches× 0.13 inches. This VCO is ideal for automated surface mount assembly and reflow.
