Testing Units

Schaffner EMC has introduced the ISN System 22, designed to help comply with new CISPR 22 standards. These standards require that all telecommunications ports on IT equipment be tested for RF emissions in the frequency rang eof 150 kHz to 30 MHz. Placed in a line, the ISN System 22 measures the emissions coming out of the device, and stabilizes the impedance at 50 ohms.

Impedance Stabilization Networks (ISNs) are used for either single or dual, unscreened symmetric (balanced) wire pairs. Due to the variety of telecom standards throughout the world, different specifications are required for the transmission of the wanted signal. Schaffner ISNs are supplied as a kit comprised of a base unit, an impedance adapter for one type of connector/connection standard, and three output adapters. Special connection standards can also be ordered.

Additionally, because it can couple RF signal in or out of the connected port, the ISN System 22 can also be used to perform conductive immunity testing.
