The INV2500 produces a near perfect 60 Hz sinusoidal waveform from a 48 V source. Frequency stability is ± 0.1%, total harmonic distortion is less than 2% and efficiency is 90%. The input voltage range is 42 to 56 V, and the unit is fully isolated from the battery. Multiple INV2500 units can be paralleled for higher output power or for N An input circuit breaker turns the inverter on and protects the battery from input faults. An output breaker connects the inverter to the load bus. The inverter has a synchronization feature should the bus be live and facilitates quick disconnection in the event of an internal fault. The inverters have a high surge capability for starting into inductive loads like motors, but the quick-trip output breaker trips if power tries to flow back into a faulted inverter.
These solid-state inverters employ MOSFET and IGBT power switches together with high frequency, pulse-width modulation techniques to synthesize a precision regulated sinusoidal output. The fully isolated output can power any load from 90 to 90 degrees phase angle. The INV2500 is self-cooled by two internal fans. Front panel LEDs indicate inverter status and Form C contacts are available on the back.
