General Microwave, a Herley Industries, Inc. company, now offers all Phase Shifters, Frequency Translators, and I-Q Vector Modulators in new narrow band versions at significantly reduced prices. Models of this type are designated with a suffix "N" and have typical operating bandwidths of 10% in the 0.5 to 18 GHz frequency range. The Phase Shifters/Frequency Translators employ an integrated assembly of an RF vector modulator and a high speed driver circuit. The Series 77AN models achieve a phase shift of 0 ° to 360 ° in discrete steps providing a resolution of 0.35 ° with phase accuracy better than 10° up to 10 GHz and 12 ° to 18 GHz. Switching speed is better than 500 nanoseconds. As Frequency Translators for serrodyne applications, they exhibit carrier and sideband suppression levels of over 25 and 20 dB, respectively, at translation rates up to 500 kHz. The I-Q Vector Modulators incorporate multiple bi-phase modulator sections to provide as high as 60 dB attenuation range at any frequency. They are capable of the full 360° phase range at any attenuation level. The series covers the frequency bands of 2 GHz to 6 GHz, 6 GHz to 18 GHz, and 16 GHz to 24 GHz. All units measure less than 4× 3× 1 and weigh less than 12 oz. They are fully temperature compensated, operating over the range 54 ° C to 100 ° C.
