Bivar has added the new Narr-O-Gide™ Conductive Insert™ card guides to its PCB packaging line. Ideally suited for telecommunications, medical and advanced avionics applications, Narr-O-Gides are offered with Bivar's stainless steel channel insert (0.006 thickness) which provides full time earth grounding to effectively eliminate potentially disruptive ESD (electro-static discharge). The new guides are less than 1/4 wide, providing higher density PCB packaging while allowing extra space for optimum air circulation.

Bivar's Narr-O-Gides are available in 17 standard lengths from 2-1/2 (63.5 mm) through 8-1/2 (215.9 mm) in 1/2 (.5 mm) increments. Molded from Natural Type 6 Nylon®, these Narr-O-Gide card guides can be ordered in either UL 94V-0 rated or UL 94V-2 rated material and are easily installed via a simple press fit operation without the need for special tools or fixtures. Narr-O-Gides are shipped standard in Natural color, additional colors can be special ordered for a small additional charge.

When fitted with Bivar's Conductive Insert, Narr-O-Gide card guides provide a cost-effective PCB grounding solution, making them ideally suited for grounding computer peripherals, accessories and removable media. The fully conductive stainless steel insert is placed down the center channel and attaches to the guide with a spring-loaded retainer on the underside of the guide, assuring complete contact. Bivar's conductive insert card guides are provided fully assembled and ready for press-fit mounting in industry standard hole patterns.
