The 7311E series is a voltage controlled crystal oscillator (VCXO) for wavelength division multiplexing (WDM) applications. The 7311E meets standards with excellent pulse recurrence properties. Measuring 9.6 mm W × 11.4 mm L × 3.9 mm H, it incorporates a 155 MHz fundamental crystal, bipolar oscillator circuit, and a selected multiplier/filter circuit. An analog low phase noise circuit makes this VCXO a pure frequency source. The device exhibits excellent frequency stability of ± 50 ppm maximum over a wide operating temperature range of 㪢 to +70°C. The 7311E series has very low jitter performance, and operates on a supply voltage of +3.3 V DC while consuming 85 mA. It is available in a frequency range of 622 to 780 MHz. Applications include SONET, SDH, FEC/Super, and 10 gigabit FEC.
