The V940ME11 from Z-Communications generates low phase-noise and operates within the 5220 - 5420 MHz frequency range. The device is suited for HIPERLAN systems and delivers a single sideband phase noise of – 82 and – 107 dBc/Hz, typically, at 10 kHz and 100 kHz offsets, respectively.

The V940ME11 covers the 200 MHz bandwidth within 0.5 -4.5 V of control voltage making it ideal for quick integration into PLLs where the error voltage can be take directly from the IC's charge pump circuitry. The device also delivers 4 ± 2 dBm into a 50 W load with a nominal 4.25 V supply while drawing less than 25 mA. Furthermore, the device demonstrates harmonic suppression of -20 dB below the carrier. It exhibits a minimal change in the output frequency due to output load impedance mismatching and supply voltage variations, pulling less than 1 MHz with a 14 dB return loss and pushing less than 1 MHz/V with a 5% change in the supply voltage.

The device operates over the extended commercial temperature range of -30°C to 85°C and is delivered in a 0.50× 0.50× 0.13 package.
