GaAs pHEMT MMIC Amplifiers Cover 18 to 34 GHz

Hittite Microwave Corporation introduces two GaAs pHEMT MMIC amplifiers for use in point-to-point and point-to-multipoint radio, military and space, VSAT, sensors and test equipment applications from 18 to 34 GHz. The HMC693 is a two-stage GaAs pHEMT 1 W power amplifier MMIC that operates between 27 and 34 GHz. It provides 17.5 dB of gain, 30 dBm of saturated output power at 23% PAE, while consuming 800 mA from a 5 V supply. The HMC519LC4 is a high dynamic range GaAs pHEMT low noise amplifier (LNA) MMIC which operates between 18 and 31 GHz, and it is housed in a leadless 4 × 4 mm SMT package. This amplifier provides 14 dB of small signal gain, 3.5 dB noise figure and output IP3 of 23 dBm, while consuming 75 mA from a single 3 V supply.
