Dual Mixer

Hittite announces the release of a double balanced dual mixer that can be configured as an I/Q modulator or an image reject mixer in wireless infrastructure, fixed wireless, and wireless local loop applications. The HMC340LP5 has an RF/LO frequency range of 1.7 to 4.5 GHz. This passive, monolithic, diode-based mixer offers an input IP3 of +20 dBm, and can be used as an upconverter, downconverter, biphase (de)modulator, or phase comparator. Offering good LO to RF and LO to IF isolations, and a conversion gain balance of 0.1dB, the device is suitable for transceiver applications where single sideband or image rejection characteristics are required. The mixer is housed in a surface mount 5 × 5 mm QFN package.
