Fiber Optic Switching Devices

Omron's fiber optic switching incorporate a combination of glass and plastic. The 2 × 2 and 1 × 8 optical switches feature a small MEMS-scale package. The variable optical attenuator (VOA) with indicator incorporates ultra-miniature actuator technology and high-efficiency design, while a 4-channel multiplexer/demultiplexer unifies optical elements into a single unit. These new devices are suited for access area applications.
