Trompeter Electronics announced the addition of a new SMZ series plug to their telco connector product line. The new UPL143-026 is a 75-ohm coaxial subminiature connector utilizing the BT43/SMB Posi-Lok type interface. Compared to the BNC series, the small BT43 type connector allows for greater interconnect density in a rack. While the BT43 does not use a bayonet coupling mechanism, it does have a non-threaded positive locking feature. These new connectors are terminated using Trompeter's standard telco BNC (UPL220-026) strip and crimp tools.
Trompeter's UPL143-026 utilizes the proven reliability of positive detent locking coupling sleeve technology to achieve maximum mating and demating reliability. The UPL143-026 is made with the same attention to mechanical strength, rugged field performance, signal clarity, and overall exceptional quality the telco industry has come to associate with Trompeter products.
