Voltaged Controlled Crystal Oscillators

Vectron International (VI) has introduced a series of new low jitter, Voltage Controlled Crystal Oscillators (VCXOs) available at frequencies from 1.024 MHz to 170 MHz. The new J-type voltage controlled crystal oscillators expand VI's advanced VCXO performance capabilities while adhering to a package footprint compatible with the industry-common surface mount J-lead package.

Typical Jitter performance is <0.5 ps rms (12 kHz to 20 MHz) at the output frequency for the CMOS version and <1 ps rms for the PECL option. The units are CMOS or PECL compatible with an input of 3.3 Vdc or 5.0 Vdc. The device is packaged in a 6 pin J-lead ceramic package that measures 14 mm × 9 mmand is hermetically sealed with a grounded conductive lid.
