The Danish M2M business NextM2M employs CFO with international telecom experience. NextM2M A/S is a Danish Mobile Virtual Network Operator. Recently the company appointed former Nokia VP Mads Winblad as Chairman of the Board and now Stig Rask Andresen is appointed new CFO. Stig Rask Andresen has studied marketing and economics at Copenhagen Business School and obtained a degree in accounting.

Korea Telecom Licenses SPIRIT DSP's Mobile VoIP Engine

SPIRIT DSP announced that Korean Telecom giant KT has licensed the company's TeamSpirit Voice Engine Mobile, an SDK (Software Development Kit) that enables high-definition (HD) VoIP (voice over IP) calling on a broad range mobile devices. KT is S. Korea's top fixed-lined operator and the No. 2 mobile carrier in the region.

Energy harvesting comes to the fore with electric vehicles because the price they pay for being environmental and exhibiting many performance advantages is that they have limited energy available. In and on these vehicles, the energy snatched from heat, light, movement and other sources may be milliwatts or less to drive wireless sensors and actuators, watts for self sufficient lighting clusters (still in development) or - the main focus - up to kilowatts to charge the traction battery or traction supercapacitor that provide motive energy to the electric traction motors.

It’s part of a collaboration between Ford, with their years of driver behavior research, and Google Prediction API, which can make useful predictions in real-time using that historical data.
