Tangoe Enhances MatrixMobile with New MDM Capabilities for Today’s Connected Enterprise

Company’s MatrixMobile MDM v13.3 adds network access control, device certificate management, and device anti-virus to enrich mobile device management and support of enterprises’ global mobile estates.

Tangoe’s MDM software is a key component of the MatrixMobile Solution Suite and enables today’s enterprises to turn-on, manage, secure, and support their global mobile estates.

Tangoe’s MatrixMobile MDM v13.3 solution suite consists of a full range of globally available capabilities that span the connection lifecycle, including advisory services, activation capabilities, security and policy management, expense management, and support services, which result in comprehensive solutions for assets, expenses, usage, and analytics. Rather than multiple disparate applications, MatrixMobile employs an integrated suite and single stack solution that enables enterprises to manage accountability stemming from corporate, BYOD and individual liabilities, while supporting an organization’s entire mobile estate to maximize uptime and increase end-user satisfaction throughout the workforce. MatrixMobile MDM v13.3 continues to expand upon the core and best-in-class capabilities available through Tangoe’s MDM solution and is fully integrated with the company’s broader MMS suite, which further enables workplaces to leverage the de facto mobile computing platform securely, including:

  • Network Access Control – MxNAC provides network access control, preventing unauthorized and non-compliant device access to an enterprise network. MxNAC includes integrated policy enforcement by device, connectivity method and authentication, as well as authorization based on identity of the user, liability model, and device compliance filters, including application, malware, MDM client present, and much more. In addition, MxNAC quarantines and self-remediates non-compliant mobile devices, including BYOD ownership models, and enforces security and compliance requirements.
  • Anti-Virus – MxRx is an anti-virus solution for Android devices that protects smartphones, mobile phones or tablets from malware in apps and from the Internet without impacting battery life or memory. Tangoe MxRx also provides daily updates and definable scan intervals for data reliability and efficiency. Additionally, the protection feature surveys all newly installed or updated apps and activities on the Internet, while the USSD-blocker prevents the automatic execution of potentially dangerous USSD-codes.

Tangoe MDM now supports OpenTrust CMS (Certificate Management System) for use with iOS enrollments and certificates in WiFi, Exchange, VPN, and Credentials Payloads. Integrated within the Tangoe MDM global administrative console, OpenTrust brings full digital certificate management services to Tangoe MDM customers and their iOS smartphones and iPads.  

Tangoe MatrixMobile MDM v13.3 also supports the iOS App Store new Volume Purchase Program, iOS per app VPN and expanded PKI support for iOS devices for device authentication and secure communication, access, and resource usage.
