SecurityCoverage Selects Pie’s TotalTechHero & NetHero Apps as Key Components
Working together to streamline technical support, TotalTechHero gives service providers visibility and control beyond the gateway, while NetHero app enables self-help for consumers.
California -- Pie Digital has announced that its NetHero and TotalTechHero software for connected homes were selected to power SecurityCoverage’s managed service offering, Tech Home. The agreement gives SecurityCoverage the exclusive right to bundle and market Pie’s products to the Tier II and III US carrier market. Tech Home is a consumer offering available via subscriptions managed by cable and ISP providers across the U.S. As a three-tiered solution, Tech Home provides desktop and mobile device protection, technical support, and warranty coverage, allowing broadband providers to own the connected home experience and better support their customer’s constantly evolving technical needs.
Pie’s technology, which will be integrated directly into Tech Home, gives consumers access to a simple self-help app called NetHero, allowing the consumer to test, tune, and enjoy their home network experience. When support is needed, NetHero pairs with a support agent solution called TotalTechHero, giving the service provider unprecedented visibility and control beyond the gateway and across connected devices. Because both Tech Home support agents and the consumer see the same information about the network and their devices, support calls are shortened up to 40 percent and first-call resolution is significantly increased.
“Pie Digital’s ability to provide direct insight into the network makes it an ideal solution to ensure that consumers get the most out of their connected homes with hassle-free fixes,” says Ed Barrett, Vice President of Marketing and Strategy of SecurityCoverage. “Together, we will be able to solve the service providers’ challenge of managing and resolving consumers’ technical problems in an easy way.”
“We are thrilled to be integrating NetHero and TotalTechHero with SecurityCoverage’s innovative Tech Home solution,” says John Orcutt, CEO of Pie Digital. “SecurityCoverage has demonstrated its dedication to its customers by integrating our self-help tools that will eliminate many support calls in the future. This partnership will allow Pie and SecurityCoverage to leverage the best of our technologies, ultimately helping consumers to fully take advantage of their connected homes.”
As part of the agreement, Pie Digital has also agreed to market SecurityCoverage’s innovative desktop and mobile antivirus and cloud backup services to its direct customers.
“We view the SecurityCoverage relationship as a very strategic opportunity to not only enter the communications market in the U.S., but also as a great partnership opportunity to deliver superior solutions to the common issues affecting today’s increasingly mobile consumers,” says Orcutt.
