LTE Innovation Summit Examines Driving Technologies Accelerating the 4G Turn

California — Rohde & Schwartz has annouced that bringing chipset and device manufacturers, mobile operators, test labs, and other technology leaders involved in the LTE/4G ecosystem together, the 5th annual LTE Innovation Summit will explore the design and test implications of converging wireless technologies.

Held on April 9-10, 2014 in Del Mar, California at the Hilton San Diego/Del Mar, this year’s topics of interest include LTE, LTE-Advanced, IMS, VoLTE, Rich Communication Suite (RCS), Enhanced Multimedia Broadcast Multicast Service (eMBMS), Location Based Services (LBS), Conformance and Carrier Acceptance Testing, Efficient Power Amplifier Design, Over-the-Air (OTA) techniques and measurements, Network Optimization, Smart Traffic Offloading, LTE/Radar coexistence, High-bandwidth Gigabit Systems, a preview of 5G, and much more.

The 2014 LTE Innovation Summit will feature two keynote addresses. Francis Sideco, Senior Director Consumer Electronics and Communications at IHS, will speak on Wednesday, April 9, exploring what lies beyond LTE, and what ecosystem participants can do to put the “Long Term” in Long Term Evolution. On Thursday, April 10, Louis LaMedica, (formerly in charge of Verizon Wireless’ device certification lab) will share key learnings and strategies he has acquired first-hand bringing new devices and technologies to market over his career. The 2014 LTE Innovation Summit keynote addresses are followed by papers covering key technology areas including: LTE Advanced, VoLTE/IMS, Location Based Services and Beyond 4G.
