Meet the Board: Matt Lee – Oscium
Today, Wireless Design and Development (WDD) is introducing Matt Lee, founder and technical lead at Oscium, a company that delivers personal instrumentation that leverages the easy-to-use interface of the iPad, iPhone and iPod.
Matt was born, raised, and educated in Oklahoma. He received his Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Oklahoma State University in 2002. Upon graduation, Matt went to work as a Product Development Engineer in Southern California. There he honed his skills and worked on executing mechanical product designs, digital electronics, firmware, and software.
In 2003, Matt helped develop 2.4 GHz DSSS wireless technology for a hobby company. In 2010, he founded Oscium and remains the technical team lead in charge of Research & Development.
Oscium focuses on designing test equipment and, in 2012, won an R&D 100 award, recognizing their iPad oscilloscope as one of the most technologically significant products of the year. On the wireless side, the WiPry family of products won Best Practice from Frost & Sullivan for being the #1 value and most innovative product in the industry in 2012.
