New York, NY– TELEHOUSE America has announced that Akio Sugeno , Vice President of Internet Engineering, Operations and Business Development, is a key contributor in Fordam University Press’ new book, Advances in Cyber Security: Technology, Operations and Experiences.
Released on April 3rd, the book is written by the world’s foremost cyber security experts and discusses the structure of the cyberspace ecosystem, how it functions and how companies can protect themselves from attack and exploitation.
Advances in Cyber Security is edited by D. Frank Hsu, Ph.D., a Clavius Distinguished Professor of Science and Director of Fordham Laboratory of Informatics and Data Mining; and Dorothy Marinucci, Executive Assistant to the President of Fordham University, and a Fordham graduate with a B.A. and M.A. in international political economy and development.
Hsu and Marinucci share wisdom collected from cyber security experts across various industries including academia, government and industry. The book delves into important topics such as building a secure cyberspace ecosystem, public-private partnership to secure cyber space, safeguarding cyber space infrastructure and practical solutions for defending against attacks.
Telehouse’s Mr. Sugeno contributed a section to the publication on Internet Exchange Points (IXPs) and their relation to cyber security, entitled, “Improve Availability of Networks Internet Exchange Points and Their Role in Cyber Space.” Mr. Sugeno is the founder of the New York International Exchange (NYIIX), Metro New York’s largest, most active Internet exchange, and the Los Angeles International Internet Exchange (LAIIX), a key peering exchange for connecting US-based companies to the Pacific Rim.
