KMB Design Group’s Stephan Banks Appointed to NY State Wireless Association Board of Directors
Banks, who resides in Jackson, spearheads the executive development of KMB’s telecommunications business and is a recognized industry leader. He has more than two decades of telecom experience as a professional civil/structural engineer in the United States and Europe. He moved from the United Kingdom to the U.S. in 2002.
“It’s a privilege to be selected to help lead the guidance and growth of the association,” Banks said. “Telecommunications is a huge market and we have extensive experience and expertise to offer the industry overall.”
His leadership helped KMB Design Group to be ranked as the 19th largest design firm for telecom in 2012 by Engineering News-Record, a McGraw-Hill publication and the leader in the global construction marketplace.
Banks has provided consultation on the design and deployment of more than 20,000 wireless telecommunication installations for all the major service providers throughout the U.S.
He earned his B.S. in Civil Engineering from University of Sunderland, studied law at the University of Leeds, is a member of the Institution of Civil Engineers, the Engineering Council, The American Society of Civil Engineers and is a licensed Chartered Professional Engineer.
Attorney Chriostopher B. Fisher, a partner in the law firm of Cuddy & Feder LLP in White Plains, N.Y., has been elected president of the NYSWA ,while other board members include David E. Bronson, special counsel with Phillips Lytle’s New York City office; Carl J. Calabrese, a partner with Buffalo, N.Y.-based Masiello, Martucci and Associates; and Joseph Messineo, mobility sales director for New York State with AT&T.
