M/A-COM Technology Solutions (M/A-COM Tech) announced that the Multifunction Phased Array Radar (MPAR) Panel has been named as one of R&D Magazines’ 2011 R&D 100 Winners. Chris Mullin, PhD, a formerly local inventor and entrepreneur, has teamed up with the University at Buffalo to develop sunglasses that detect bright spots of light and darken specific parts of the lens to protect sunglasses wearers from blinding glare.

According to In-Stat survey results, nearly two-thirds of smartphone owners have watched video on their device, while nearly 86% of tablet owners have done so.
