Apple CEO Cook Holds Talks With China Mobile's Chairman
While Apple has deals to sell the iPhone through other carriers the company has long sought a deal with China Mobile, the largest wireless carrier in the largest wireless market in the world. This morning, according to Reuters, Apple CEO Tim Cook met with China Mobile Chairman Xi Gouhua.
“In the morning, Apple’s CEO Tim Cook visited China Mobile’s headquarters. China Mobile’s Chairman Xi Guohua and Tim Cook discussed matters of cooperation,” Li Jun, a China Mobile spokesman, told Reuters in a statement.
Also, Cook was quoted by Sina Technology News as saying Apple expects China to become the company’s largest market.
