Unmonday Ceramic Speaker Simplifies Wireless Music Playing
Inundated with too many speakers? Tired of loose wires? Struggle when it comes to pairing devices? No more, says a Finnish company that wants to make it easier and more enjoyable to use sound systems.
Unmonday launched a Kickstarter campaign for an independent, ceramic speaker that would pair with other speakers over Airplay. The Unmonday 4.3L can be used as a mono, stereo or Dolby Surround sound system by simply turning the unit on one of its sides.
The team wanted to get rid of wires and confusing transmitters, so they implemented a motion sensor that detects the speaker’s physical position. Depending on the way the speaker is rotated, it can connect with up to five other speakers. Users don’t need to worry about adjusting each speaker to the right channel, they can simply turn the unit over and press ‘play.’
With a battery life of up to 10 hours, the Unmonday 4.3L is ideal for parties and large social gatherings. Of the $200,000 pledged for their project, $49,546 has already been funded, with 21 days left in the campaign.
Would you back this project?
