API Technologies to Showcase Products at IMS2012

API Technologies Corp. announced today that it will, for the first time ever, showcase its complete family of microwave, RF, and millimeter wave products at Booth #1306 during the IEEE International Microwave Symposium (IMS2012). IMS2012 takes place June 19-21 at the Palais des Congrès in Montreal.

API's family of products include RF components, microwave filters, microelectronics, amplifiers and amplifier subsystems, and frequency sources from brands including Spectrum Microwave, CMT, National Hybrid, C-MAC Aerospace, and Cobham MAL.

"With the acquisition of Spectrum one year ago, and the subsequent acquisitions of CMT and C-MAC, API has positioned itself as the leader in high-reliability products for cutting-edge technologies in industries such as defense, space, and wireless."

API Technologies operates 24 design-centers and manufacturing facilities around the world. Many of these facilities meet stringent military, aerospace, and space standards producing the highest quality products on the market today. Filters and Switched Filter Banks: Defense, Space, Wireless

API's line of filter and switched filter bank products are used by industry-leading providers of public safety products, wireless and broadband communication services, and major defense and space applications. The product line features off-the-shelf and custom-designed lumped element filters, cavity filters, combline filters, and waveguide filters for a variety of applications including satellites, surveillance, remote metering, and interference mitigation.

• GaN Broadband Power Amplifiers

API manufactures ultra broadband power amplifiers for counter improvised explosive device (IED) and IED detection (IEDD) systems which are critical to force protection. By utilizing gallium nitride (GaN) technology, API’s amplifier products are leading the way providing rugged, reliable, and efficient power in smaller and lighter footprints. Existing GaN power amplifiers span 20 MHz to 6000 MHz. Custom solutions are also available to meet specific customer needs.

• Integrated Microwave Assemblies for Electronic Warfare

API also integrates several discreet RF/microwave components to deliver integrated microwave assemblies (IMAs) for electronic warfare (EW) systems. With a heritage in filter-based, frequency conversion, and instantaneous frequency measurement receivers, API's state-of-the-art IMAs are small and lightweight subsystems specifically designed for next generation system needs. IMAs are designed to customer specifications starting at DC-40 GHz. •

Microelectronics Solutions
