SAN FRANCISCO, /PRNewswire/ -- Enterprise Connect, produced by UBM TechWeb, recently announced its list of the top technology trends of 2010 in the enterprise communications arena. The program committee's list of top trends was confirmed by an online poll, conducted in partnership with NoJitter.com. The results come just before Enteprise Connect Orlando, the brand's flagship enterprise communications event, happening March 3-28 at the Gaylord Palms Hotel in Orlando, FL. Registration is now open at http://www.enterpriseconnect.com/orlando/

An online poll at NoJitter.com asked the site's readers to name the top enterprise communications trends of 2010. The top five responses, in order:

1. Unified Communications

2. Video

3. Tablets

4. SIP Trunking

5. The Cloud

Other top technologies and trends receiving votes included:

6. Smartphones

7. Social Software/Networks

8. Communications-Enabled Business Processes (CEBP)

9. Contact Centers

"The poll results mirror the emphasis we put on these trends when we created the Enterprise Connect program," said Fred Knight, General Manager and program co-chairman of Enterprise Connect. "The top-ranked trends in our No Jitter poll all have entire tracks devoted to them at Enterprise Connect, with sessions ranging from in-depth, half-day tutorials to high-level executive panels in General Sessions."

"Opinions may differ about exactly how to rank these trends, from highest to lowest, but we are comfortable declaring that these trends, in this general order, are the ones that are moving the enterprise communications industry and affecting enterprise communications decision-makers the most," Knight concluded.

In addition to the many sessions devoted to these top technology trends, Enterprise Connect's program also devotes significant attention to the ongoing concerns of real-time networks and the migration of legacy networks. This includes tutorials on the Basics and Best Practices of Unified Communications; a mock RFP for IP-PBXs; Network Test Tools; and much more.
