SANTA ANA, Calif. -- (BUSINESS WIRE) -- SRS Labs announced today that MediaTek is now offering SRS StudioSound HD™ on its new MT5387/MT5388 ATSC TV controller platform to deliver a ground-breaking HDTV audio experience.

The flagship SRS StudioSound HD is the most comprehensive and powerful HDTV audio suite ever developed and MediaTek’s HDTV manufacturing partners will now have the ability to deliver advanced audio management features that:

* Automatically detect and control abrupt TV volume fluctuations

* Intelligently separate vocals from all other content and dynamically adjust the dialog level to ensure that it’s always clearly understood

* Faithfully reproduce audio with enhanced depth and dimension for a truly compelling surround sound experience using a TV’s built-in speakers.

As part of the company’s highly integrated SoC product family, MediaTek’s MT5387 and MT5388 models, featuring SRS’ audio enriching solutions, combine a DTV backend decoder and TV controller enabling consumer electronics manufacturers to build high-quality, feature-rich HDTVs that are practically unmatched.
