HFSS Interface Enhancements Enable Productivity Improvements, Reduce Time-to-Market

Intercept Technology Inc announced recent advances in its current RF design flow with an enhanced bidirectional link between Ansoft’s HFSS™ and Intercept’s Pantheon PCB/Hybrid/RF layout design application.

Originally the first bidirectional link of its kind in the EDA industry, the Pantheon-HFSS link saves RF design engineers considerable amounts of time during the design process. The interface offers maximum flexibility for engineers by allowing them to start the design either in HFSS or layout, with the latest improvements further automating transfer of design intelligence. With no data intelligence lost during transfer, design cycle times are drastically reduced by half or more (proven among established user flows).

"After working closely with our established customers to make these improvements, we are seeing projects finished weeks before their deadlines," said Mark Calloway, Intercept’s Director of Sales. “Not only are managers pleased with this outcome, users are also glad to be working with a higher level of intelligence in their design data."

Intercept is the only EDA company to provide such a high degree of interactive RF editing capability within a physical design application, allowing the completion of RF, hybrid, analog, digital, and mixed-technology designs within a single-window environment.  The link to HFSS complements Intercept's existing RF Option, which includes layout driven design (no schematic necessary), via fencing, powerful shape/fill manipulation capabilities, the ability to “route” parametric components, the ability to convert copper primitives to intelligent RF fill, RF specific Design Rules Checks and more.
