Carrier VoIP/IMS market down 7% in 1Q06, up 48% since 1Q05

Worldwide service provider next gen voice and IMS equipment revenue dropped 7% to $722 million in the first quarter of 2006, but is up 48% from the first quarter of 2005, according to Infonetics Research's latest Service Provider Next Gen Voice and IMS Equipment report. Strong annual growth will continue over the next few years, driven by media gateways and softswitches, with the total next gen voice market hitting new highs each year until it reaches $6.2 billion in 2009.

5G Wireless Signs with Next SA Bringing Broadband Wireless Solutions to Middle East and African Markets

5G Wireless Communications Inc. announces that it has signed an Authorized Channel Partner agreement with NEXT SA, a Senegal-based engineering and consulting firm specializing in the development of products and services that promote technological innovation and turnkey solutions for government and ISP corporations. ZTE and SupportSoft Complete TR-069 Interoperability Testing

ZTE Corporation and SupportSoft, Inc. have successfully completed interoperability testing at SupportSoft's Digital 3600 Interoperability Lab of ZTE's Home Gateway devices according to the TR-069 DSL Forum CPE WAN Management protocol. The testing validates the interoperability of ZTE's H110/H100 Home Gateway devices with SupportSoft ServiceGateway(tm) software to deliver triple play services and service management.
