Developing Bluetooth Smart Accessories with CSR uEnergy SDK

The rapid growth of Bluetooth Smart Ready PCs, tablets and smartphones provides a unique opportunity to create innovative accessories. Bluetooth Smart enables ultra-low power connectivity and basic data transfer for applications previously limited by the power consumption, size constraints and complexity of other wireless standards.

CSR 10xx platform makes it simple for developers to create Bluetooth Smart products. This new CSR platform make use of the µEnergy® hardware modem. The modem and the ultra-low power programmable IO controller can communicate with sensors and peripheral devices without using the integrated microprocessor. This minimizes power consumption and reduces data transfer latency. These features ensure the system-level power consumption is minimized, giving optimized performance with minimum development effort. 

At the developer training event in San Jose, we will introduce you to the CSR uEnergy SDK tool chain. We will design and implement GATT-based profiles on the CSR 10xx platform and establish connections and exchanges with the newly released Application Accelerator provided by the Bluetooth SIG. You will also get a chance to learn how to integrate sensors to your Bluetooth Smart implementations. This training session is aimed at embedded and software engineers interested in designing Bluetooth Smart accessories.
