AnalogicTech's AAT1185 single-output, step-down controller delivers high- and low-side pins to drive external N-Channel power MOSFETs supporting fully-synchronous and non-synchronous operation. The 14-pin TSOPJW-packaged device offers an input voltage range from 6 to 24 V, adjustable output voltage from 0.8 to 5 V, output current ranges from <1 A to 10 A and qualification across a temperature range from -40ºC to 85ºC. The component demonstrates a switching frequency of 490 kHz, external compensation, shutdown current of <30 µA, internal soft start and programmable overcurrent overtemperature protection. Applications include WLANs, DSL and cable modems, notebook computers and set-top boxes.
