DesignArt Networks unveils its complete single-chip DAN2200 WiMAX femtocell SoC. It can be integrated with home gateway equipment to facilitate the delivery of high-definition media to fixed and mobile wireless broadband devices. This results in faster adoption of WiMAX femtocells in residential, business and hot-spot applications. Certified for IEEE 802.16e Wave 2, the device delivers non-blocking WiMAX performance for up to 25 simultaneous subscribers. Based on a proprietary open 4G SoC platform, the software-centric multi-core architecture features many advanced capabilities, including plug-and-play installation, robust embedded synchronization options and fully automated installation and operation of WiMAX femtocell clusters.
