AirMagnet Inc., the leader in security, performance and compliance solutions for wireless LANs, announced that the company’s new 802.11n WLAN Suite has won the Best of Interop Award for Mobile and Wireless. The suite consists of AirMagnet Analyzer 8.0 and AirMagnet Survey 6.0, both available next week in a special bundle (with a custom-built AirMagnet 802.11a/b/g/n Wireless PC card) or as standalone solutions.

AirMagnet Laptop Analyzer PRO 8.0 and AirMagnet Survey PRO 6.0 provide the first comprehensive set of mobile tools specifically designed for pre-deployment planning and ongoing management of 802.11n networks. The products address two universal challenges facing 802.11n deployments — how to get true 11n performance that rivals what 11n can do in theory, and how to phase 11n gear into an established WLAN without doing a complete “rip and replace” of the network infrastructure.

The staff of InformationWeek magazine selected AirMagnet over other finalists including Motorola and MRV Communications. AirMagnet has been a Best of Interop Finalist for three consecutive years. The company won the award in 2003 for AirMagnet Enterprise and in 2007 for AirMagnet VoFi Analyzer.
