Multisorb Technologies has developed Humonitor® Humidity Indicator Cards (HIC) for use with active desiccants in electronic packaging applications. They visually identify moisture exposure and display the percentage of relative humidity (RH) in packaged electronics. These cards provide monitoring of desiccant activity, and they prompt users to take action when humidity levels are above acceptable limits. Fully compliant with the latest JEDEC industry standards, the accuracy of the cards is calibrated within ± 5 percent RH. The cards are fully customizable, and change color from blue to pink, indicating levels of relative humidity up to 60 percent.
