Avago Technologies’ ASMT-QxBB Series 0.5-W SMT LEDs display a viewing angle of 120° in automotive and electronic sign applications. The RoHS-compliant components exhibit mid-power intensity brightness with optimum flux performance using InGaN chip technology, as well as optical efficiencies of 48 lm/W (cool white) and 43 lm/W (warm white). The Pb-free devices demonstrate a junction temperature of 125°C, thermal resistance of 60°C/W junction to pin, moisture sensitivity per JEDEC MSL 2, and an operating temperature range from -40°C to 110°C. Applications include dashboard backlighting, dome and map lighting, puddle lamps, rear reverse lamp indicator lighting, license plate illumination, decorative lighting, channel lettering in ESS applications, and backlighting for instrument panels and displays. The 3.2 mm × 2.8 mm × 1.9 mm lights are available in 8-mm carrier tape and 7” diameter reels for automated assembly.
