Sequans announces its first System-on-Chip (SoC) products for WiMAX subscriber stations (SQN1010) and basestations (SQN2010). The SQN1010 and SQN2010 are based on the IEEE 802.16-2004 standard. The WiMAX product family consists of a subscriber SoC, a basestation SoC and Sequans' software solution (S-Cube). This product family makes it possible for equipment manufacturers to deploy a range of applications from basestations to pico-basestations and from outdoor to feature-rich, indoor, self-install terminals and home gateways. Equipment manufacturers' benefit from Sequans' implementation of mandatory and optional WiMAX features that together improve cell coverage, throughput and enable low-latency support for real-time voice, video and data applications.
