CSTNCanada announces a standard 16 character × 2 line LCD with built-in SPI interface. The Data Vision DV-16210-65-S1MBLY is a based on the popular, large character DV-16210 dot matrix LCD module. This display has a view area of 99 mm × 24 mm. The individual 5 × 8 pixel character blocks are 4.84 mm × 8.06 mm. The DV-16210-65-S1MBLY module can support 8-bit and 4-bit parallel data interface as well a 3-wire and 4-wire SPI. The serial interface options make it appropriate for new projects requiring a high speed interface and low I/O count. Since the display is also compatible with the HD44870, S6A0069 and SED 1278 it can also be used in legacy applications. The display is available with LED and EL backlighting. It is also available with a reflective rear polarizer.
