Saifun Semiconductors announces the SA25C020 2 Mb SPI EEPROM. This product provides a combination of an SO8 package and low power consumption. The SA25C020's features include 25 MHz clock speed combined with power consumption of 1 uA ICC typical standby. These performance levels are made possible by the company's proprietary trapped charge non-volatile memory technology.
