Lattice Semiconductor's MachXO™ Mini development kit is intended to prototype high-volume, cost-sensitive, low-density applications using the MachXO programmable logic device (PLD) family. The product includes the MachXO LCMXO2280 device, 1 Mb SPI Flash, 1 Mb SRAM, a temperature sensor, an expansion header for I²C and SPI interfaces; LEDs, user switches, and a USB cable. Designers can test I²C, SPI and UART interfaces, in addition to the 8-bit LatticeMico8™ MCU and low-power sleep mode functionality, using the preloaded designs. The associated reference designs and free ispLEVER® Starter design software can be downloaded from the Lattice Web site.
