Knowledge*on Semiconductor announces a design kit for Agilent Technologies' Advanced Design System (ADS). The design kit contains many passive components as well as three types of HBT. RF engineers benefit from the design kit’s models for 214 inductors, 30 capacitors, resistors, via hole, pad, and transmission line. The design kit features a temperature scalable HBT model and the accuracy of the model is confirmed through temperature dependent DC and frequency measurements. The kit provides the seamless flow from schematic design to automatic layout and design rule check (DRC). Layouts are generated directly from schematic diagrams.
