Low Noise Amplifiers

Spectrum SEI Microwave introduces a re-designed series of filtered low noise amplifiers (LNA) featuring a robust housing that allows for corrosion resistance and effective shielding. The filtered LNAs offer a low noise figure of typically 1.5 dB and are designed for L1 and L1/L2 GPS applications. The LNAs' durable, lightweight chassis is constructed of machined aluminum with a nickel plate finish. The design provides shielding and filtering advantages that reduce susceptibility to undesired signals resulting in less performance degradation and a more reliable level of service. Both the L1 and L1/L2 series of LNAs feature 3-pole ceramic filters that select only desired GPS signals as the low-noise gain stage of each maintains the receiving system's sensitivity. Both amplifier series reject undesired signals by at least 40 dB at 1050, 1410, and 1710 MHz and have a bandwidth of 30 MHz (minimum) in 14, 26, 34, and 45 dB models. A low noise figure of 1.5 dB is typical for both series (2 dB maximum) with a gain flatness of ± 0.5 dB.
