Azimuth Systems announces its W-Series wireless laptop test solution that allows the performance and scalability of laptop PCs with embedded wireless communications to be automatically validated. The laptop test solution extends the Azimuth W-Series, the industry's first Wireless LAN testing platform, by incorporating standard, off-the-shelf laptops with embedded Wi-Fi into the standard testing process. The solution consists of two major components: the Wireless Standalone Client, which allows full remote control of the laptop and its traffic and the Laptop Test Head, a compact isolation chamber which allows the laptop to be included as a component in the isolated test environment. Used in concert with Azimuth's W-Series test platform, the laptop test solution allows vendors to validate client rate vs. range, Wi-Fi compliance and interoperability, roaming efficiency, performance and throughput, and security.
